Researching penny stocks is not as easy as reseraching stocks on NASDAQ. Penny stock companies does not have the same disclosure rules as the larger stock companies.

When you are researching penny stocks you in most cases has to relly on newspaper articles from business newspapers as well as rumors and investment tips.

A smart move is to find out who is running the company. Do some google search on their names and see what you can find out about them. You should also look at who the people already investing in the penny stock are. Very often these are respectable companies or investors you have heard about before.

An other important aspect of deciding wether or not to buy a penny stock is to look at what they are doing. What products they are selling and how they make money in general. Do you think the product is any good? Is it a market for the product?

If possible you should also try to test the product out. Check for their customer service and how they treat and backsell their customers. Studies has shown that companies that treat their customers well has a higher increase in stock price than those who fail at customer service.

An other thing you want to find out is how the company is going. You want to know if they are growing on a regular basis and are successful in their business. Try to find out their market share, and how many regular customers they got.

Many of the research tools you will need is available on the internet. You can serach for their company name to find articles or other information about them. You can use Google Analytics to find out how their market is moving at the moment. If you want to check how their stock is moving over time you can use Yahoo finance. Yahoo finance will also give you old new articles about the penny stock company and relate them to the stock price.

Some of the information you can also find offline. Local newspapers are always good. How is their marketing strategy is something you can look into. You can call them and talk to them or write them a letter.
